On the flysheet Alastair Campbell of Airds has written "presented by Mrs S Kiernander 1991". Overleaf is written "Cpt Kiernander 1901"
With several loose press cuttings and photographs (see following notes). This volume was also apparently owned by the Kurnander or Kiernander family. Loose items are: photograph showing Finnish sailing ship Herzogin Cecilia of the Erikson fleet, ashore at Salcombe, Devon, April 1928 "became a total wreck"; cards taken from minature portraits of John Campbell of Melfort and his wife Colina Campbell of Auchallader at the time of their marriage in 1767; press cutting of the marriage of widow Mrs F W Campbell, sister of Campbell of Dunstaffnage (she was Constance Alice, whose first marriage was to Captain Frederick William Campbell RHA, on 27th April 1887 at Oban: he died at Kashmir on 22nd May 1892), to Mr G H Schiotz (no date); two press cuttings, dated 30th December 1940, regarding a racehorse being rescued from Loch Etive (obviously from the wreck of the SS Breda, sunk by the Germans on the 23rd December 1940); a press cutting from the Argus (Australian newspaper) of c1890, with an obituary of Captain Alexander Campbell, late tacksman on Coll, who had been 65 years in Australia; press cutting (n.d.) referring to the 100 year-old Earl of Perth, then living at Kew.
