Six shillings and a chopin of ale each; For damage done to the Western Town ground by the coal heugh to the birlayman, £6.0.0; To Duncan McLarene, smith, for making to the windlass, 14/-; To Alexander Balfoaur for a horse lyre (and) to the workmen from Dollar to Duddingston, and waiting for three days, 18/-; To Andrew Christie for y't summeend £1.10.00; Item to supply Paterson for a coal well pits and wages, £3.00.0; To Alexander Sinclair, smith, for work wrought by him for working iron, making nails, and other things, £5.05.04; To John Gill, sievewright, for scuperines and putting them on to witt 14, 18/-; To John Hutton, cooper, for making and mending buckets to the windows, £2.03.00; all totalling £88.19.00; Summa on all the foregoing pages (see separate spreadsheet) is £1,736.13.04. Thomas Glen signs to acknowledge receipt on the 13th April 1679. Garments include a night gown, silk garters, and petticoat. Obviously in preparation for a wedding. Note by 10th Duke: "she married 1 July 1678 Richard 4th Earl of Lauderdaill. 2nd she married Charles 7th Earl of Moray. She died aged 70 sp, 18th September 1734".
