Hand-written genealogy, from the fourth or beginning of the fifth century to the time of the 2nd Duke in 1715. Additional note at the end, in Duke Niall’s hand, copied from an MS originally written in the time of the 9th Earl he found in the Argyll MSS in 1907. It lists the descent from Sir Neil down to the 9th Earl, annotated “it is clear that the writer had access to Mr Alexr Colvin’s account of the Clan”.
