Name of creator
These series of volumes appear to have been created in the late 19th or early 20th centuries in order to preserve the important documents contained within them. The Portfolio volumes were similar to scrapbooks (rather than bindings) although the documents contained in them were not secured to the pages. The contents were briefly listed in the 1950 NRAS survey of the collection, but documents have clearly been consulted and relocated since then. Volumes are being reconstituted where possible.
